I bought this orthopedic dog bed for my 11 year old lab because the other dogs beds that I have has lost their fullness and they are flat. She has arthritis and is on joint medication. Since I received it, she constantly lays on it. She literally loves this bed. I noticed that she is not stiff when she gets off of the bed and she walks normal without any limping. I have no doubt this is due to the bed. I have placed it in my bedroom and now have to buy another one for the family room. I bought the large forest green bed. To put the cover on, fold it in half and then insert cover. Love this bed and I hope it lasts a long time. Thank you LL Bean for such a great product. As you can see from the photo, Mazie loves to stretch out when she lies down. She is very happy to have such a great bed. Sorry, but can't get the photograph to upload straight, but I am sure you get the idea how wonderful this bed is.

Love the bed. Put a worn T-shirt inside it and our Lab Maizie instantly made it her own. She is now front and center in the kitchen/family room. We got it as she was getting sore elbows. Whole family gets in on the action. Super comfortable.

I’m very pleased with this dog bed for my 25 lb cockapoo, Teddy. I was looking for something that would fit nicely in his bedtime crate while also providing him with support and comfort. He had a spinal injury a few years ago, so a high-quality, therapeutic dog bed for him was a must. I also liked that it had no sides as I’ve noticed that he likes to stretch out (and not curl up) while he’s sleeping at night. The bed which is a kind of foam insert into a blue demin cover seems to be working great for him. It fits well in his crate and is easy to assemble and remove for washing. I wish it were a little thicker, but I’ve compensated for that by placing a quilt under it.

This was my 7th or 8th LL Bean dog bed purchase. They last for years. Wash and hold up well. Very well may be may be more comfortable than most people beds.

This is an excellent dog bed. My senior dog loves it, despite having rejected every other dog bed presented to him over his long life. He much prefers sleeping on my bed. The problem with my bed is that arthritis prevents him from safely and comfortably jumping up and down. His pride bruises with human assists. With this bed, he is both comfortable and free to come and go as he pleases without help. The cats also love it when the dog is otherwise occupied.

Great dog bed.I have a 60lb lab mix and the bed is bigger than she probably needs but, I like it because she can stretch out in it. It is replacing an almost 20 yr old llbean dog bed.

The zipper’s on the long side a first in 3 dogs over 34 years and many quality dog beds that were a wrestling match to get the mattress out and back into the cover for washing. I’ll never buy another dog bed that doesn’t have the zipper on the long side! Cover is soft, sturdy fabric, well made with welts.

First, let me say it is a great bed! Unfortunately my dog didn’t like her new bed because she was so attached to her old bed (which, thankfully, I kept just in case). What can you do? But, my daughter has 4 big dogs so I gave it to her and they LOVE it. So, I’m happy that it is getting some good use by them. It is a great bed …. my dog is just a weird terrier. Looks like it will be easy to wash too and I loved the color …. it was a slate blue which was so nice because it blended in nicely with my decor. Oh well. (When her bed finally dies, I’m going to try this one again.)

There’s not much I can do for my 11-year-old, 100-lb black Lab mix; arthritis can’t be cured, and eventually the pain meds won’t keep him going. I’m not made of money, either, but I knew that once he’s gone, my only regrets will be the things I didn’t do. This is the most comfortable dog bed I’ve had in 50 years of loving dogs. I had Foster & Smith dogs beds that lasted for 20 years; these are even more comfortable (I laid down in them myself, and I would sleep on one if they made them in human sixes!) I ended up getting 2 extra large beds so he could have one in each of his favorite places, then another large size one for my younger dog, but the large is also just big enough for the big guy and he sleeps on that one, too. It breaks my heart to know he won’t be with me much longer, but I know these beds will go on to comfort other dogs, because they are so well made. Like I said — I’m not rich, just a retired mailman. Best money I ever spent.

Our dogs love the therapeutic dog beds. They scratch through the fleece covers but the denim covers hold up and stand up to everything. The inner foam is very supportive and gives the dogs a good cushion for their older bones. Thank you!

Firstly, the dogs love the size( we got large rectangular) for our Labs. They can fully layout without hanging over the edges. The memory foam apparently is quite comfortable, they sleep very soundly. The cover comes on and off easily for laundering, which is a huge improvement over their previous bedding. We are extremely happy with our purchase.
