The construction is of amazing quality. Size small is perfect to hold my beverages and snacks for road trips etc. I was able to fit 5 bottles in it. The zippered part elevates to 9 1/2 in. Totally love it!!! I already had a flannel lined leather handle tote and a large diddle bag from bean. Love them all but this is my fave. I wish they made one without insulation, as it would be a great purse too with classic style.

I absolutely love this bag. I use it to carry a couple of cans of soda or small bottles of water and some ice. It has never leaked, and keeps the drinks cold all day. I use it at the beach or on cruise ships or ports where I want to carry some of the drinks I bring on board. I also bought the larger bag and love that one too. Size is perfect for this use. I love that it doesn't look like a cooler, and the wipe clean fabric means this bag still looks like new.

This is the best size lunch tote for everyday use. It fits my lunch regardless of different size containers or not or fruit or whatever. I see there are many complaints on size, but the sizing is accurate in the description.
Its an appropriate size for a lunch portion. If you pack a lunch for 2 maybe you need a bigger bag. I love the LLBEAN quality and would definitely buy again.

I purchased this in a small to use as a lunch box. It works PERFECTLY! It fits the containers I use and an ice pack. I love this lunch box!

I wanted something that would hold my soup mug (for hot and cold lunches), utensils, piece of fruit and small breakfast and didn't want anything large. I love the point of shoulder strap and handle with space for my hand. I bought myself the small and my daughter the medium. I read the reviews and knew it would be tight; they are correct. I was surprised that the zipper opening is a bit snug as I fit my items in the bag. On the other hand, the medium for my daughter would be too large. I love this lunch bag, it works well, keeps my food cold and not a burden to carry. Because it is snug the items do not juggle around in the bag. I would highly recommend this but caution what you bring to lunch and number of containers.

I'm a high school teacher and I take my lunch every day. I carry my all-day water bottle in my larger tote; this lunch bag holds my breakfast, lunch, and snack without a problem. I love that the zipper top effectively allows it to expand another two inches taller. At first glance, it looks tiny inside, but it's a bit like a Mary Poppins bag–amazing what you can fit inside. It is sturdy and well-insulated; I don't worry about my lunch getting smashed when I toss it into the car or shove it under my desk. In short, it's everything I was hoping for!
