I have the similar jacket style (green, Regular large). Since they are both ‘semi-fitted’ I got them a bit larger than needed and planned to wear over a sweater. I tried petite large & that was too tight in the jacket style. I don’t like fitted clothes
In general but this one isn’t bad. That said, this is the best I could do, I have tried & returned many LLB coats & jackets. I was going to get a 2nd jacket ( it covers my high hip area) then came upon the parka, which covers more of the hips & legs. Not thrilled with some features: I don’t like a hood but this one is removable. I like snaps AND zippers though I only use the snaps or leave the coats open while driving. If the snaps ever won’t work, I like the zipper option. The double pocket takes some getting used to, and I’m not happy with the high location of the inside pocket. The waist cord, even on the regular size parka, is actually at my waist ( I expected it to be too low to use). The jacket has proved to be warm & water-repellent ( not in rain or heavy snow). All in all probably one of the best outerwear LLB offers.

Cute, toasty warm coat once you get it zipped and buttoned.

Just what I needed for winter walks. I hasn’t been tested in serious cold yet, but all the features are there – wind-resistant cuffs and front fastening, great zipper. The inner pocket is perfectly placed – one those details that matters!

This coat is exactly what I needed – a warm, lightweight coat that’s right between my really heavy duty bulky coat and my lighter weight down jacket. The mid-thigh length keeps my lower torso warm and yet allows for great mobility. The water resistant fabric is nice to the touch and the workmanship is quite good. I’ve been wearing it for walks and hikes in temperatures between 25 and 35 degrees F, and I am plenty warm. Even can unzip a little once I get going. I’m sure it will be good in even lower temperatures. Very satisfied with this coat. I’m 5’3″, 138lbs., and the regular medium fits perfectly.

Bought this coat for my granddaughter who lives in Michigan and had spinal surgery to correct her scoliosis. The metal rods are a problem in cold weather. She said she loves it and that it’s very warm.

This coat may have been designed by people who actually go outside. Being a dog walker in the Chicago area I’ve searched for coats that can accommodate Chicago’s winters. Most are expensive and designed for style, not working in. I’d love to see clothes designed for dog walking in mind.
Anyway, this coat can handle very cold and windy winter days. By cold I mean really cold. As a side note, Burton makes the best coats for outdoor work, and this coat is a runner up. There’s not enough material at the neckline where the zipper closes, adjusting that would be an excellent improvement. Also, deeper, and more pockets. And quit trying to feminize winter coats, sexism is ridiculous.

It’s short – above the knees, but it’s warm and perfect for very cold winter weather.

I have so much trouble with coats because usually the arms are too tight or the body is too big. This coat is perfect, not too much room but enough for a mid weight layer. It also runs big compared to other brands- I ended up keeping the Medium- and I’m usually always a Large. I am a size 10/12. But according to LL BEAN size charts- a medium is correct for me, so the sizing is accurate. Overall very pleased. And definitely feels like it will be plenty warm, but have not tested it out yet.

This jacket is a true large but fitted. It is not the more slender fit you see on other simular womens jackets where you need to size up just to get it to fit. If you have a smaller waist it has pulls on the inside to bring in the waist.. Im 5’5 170 more of a strait build with a larger waist. I found the style of the jacket to be very flattering. There is a average size zipped pocket inside the coat. the pockets on the outside are one snap only no zip. They are not super deep will only fit hands or items not both. Horizontal lines in womens clothes is not flattering to most women this jacket manages to pull it off without looking dumpy. It is a flattering Jacket. If you like to wear lots of layers I would definitely size up, like other jackets lots of layers won’t work unless you size up.

Forget the “Awesome”. The coat is exactly what I needed. I’ve been wearing a similar coat for years. I think this one will be better. I wasn’t sure if I should choose the smaller size or not. I think the smaller size would have worked, but this way I have a little more room. P.S. I have 2 L.L.Bean jackets that have to be 50 yrs. old. Hiked a lot in my earlier years. Still wearing the 2 jackets.

Super comfy, well designed and very warm. First day using the coat was spent 4 hours in a snow storm and it was water proof and extra warm. I love the pocket has a zipper compartment and the snap also. I could keep my phone in the zipper and still use the pockets without worrying it would fall out. Great design- many compliments.
