Wore these on a January 2021 trip to Fairbanks AK. I found them to be warm and comfortable. The temp was between minus 10 and minus 20 during my trip. I used them on a snow machine tour and a dog sled tour. I felt that they were just a tiny bit short and might have exchanged for a half size bigger if ai had time. They worked out fine anyway. My feet were warm the entire time in spite of a health condition that gives me cold feet. The side zip is great, but does compromise the waterproof. If you stepped in water over the zipper, some would get in. For me, I must keep my sox pulled up to prevent skin abrasion by the top collar. That is more a function of my ankle than the boot. All in all, I give them an excellent rating.

After reading all the reviews, and considering other laceless boots like Blundstones, I decided to opt for these as a less expensive option, cross my fingers and hope for the best.
I love these boots and can provide the following notes:
I don’t need to wear heavy socks and my feet stay warm, but very heavy socks do make them a bit harder to put on. I’m in between sizes 10.5 and 11 usually, so I’d probably feel fine with my wool socks if I sized up, but if you’re dead on your size you may not want to add a size increase for socks.
They have pretty stiff ankle support and there’s not much compliance in the material so they do take some effort to pull on, just like any laceless boots. Some reviews made it seem like these boots are very hard to put on, but that’s not true. These boots are much easier to get your foot into than a Doc Marten of the same height, but a littler harder to put on than an insulated snow boots with a full-access tongue and loosened laces.
For me, it’s not possible to step into these boots, I always use the two well constructed leather loops at the front and back of the foot. The zipper is smooth and when they are zipped, the boots hug my calf and provide similar support as I get in a work boot. I wouldn’t recommend these for the trail, but on the streets or worksite they are pretty much perfect.

Zipper makes it easy to put on. Suggest getting 1 size larger than normal. Not as well insulated as some, so not as suitable for very cold conditions.

I am happy that this boot is so easy to pull on. It has loops that make it easier and the side zippers make it easy to get my foot in most of the way.
They also provide some warmth on very cold days at least more than my street shoes for work provide.

Purchased a pair well over year ago. These are great snow boots. They fit well and required no break in for me. The zip makes them quick on and off, though the zip will leak water in if the boot is submerged. The first couple of times I wore them, I thought there was an ankle rub. Turned out to be a little stiff cloth tag with a rough edge. A little very careful work with a pen knife and the tag and stitches were gone along with the rub. I wore them at 18 below in Fairbanks Alaska and was perfectly comfortable. Highly recommended.

Wife bought these for me to get through the Vermont winter. A little snug in the toe at first, but very comfy after a short break-in. Sole is grippy and (mostly) self-cleaning. Much lighter than my Red Wings, but just as warm. Like any slip-on, it’s a little freer fit than a lace-up boot, but plenty good enough for moderate excursions. Waterproof so puddles and slush aren’t a problem.

This is a good boot! (As I’d expect from LL Bean). It is well made and comfortable, in part due to very good cushioning. It’s kept my feet dry and warm. The zipper makes for easy in and out, also providing a higher boot with good support.

These fit great… they follow the contour of my feet. I like a wide toe box and was concerned they might be too tight but they are very comfortable. I wear them every morning to walk the dog -repelling the dew and wet spots on the property. Interesting that I do not use the front loop to pull them on…. I find the back loop useful and while I pull on the rear flap of the zipper… maybe add an extra loop there?

I was looking for some winter boots that I would be able to put on my feet without a struggle. These do the job well enough, but since i have a rather high intep, I needed a size lager. Even so, I would buy the again.
