I'd been wanting a Desert Boot style shoe but the original Desert Boots have no arch support. This shoe proved to be an excellent substitute.

These shoes were my first purchase from L.L.Bean and they are by far one of the best chukka boots I’ve ever bought! They’re very comfortable to the sole of the foot due to the cushioned pad which also adds support. The leather is very durable and ages beautifully over time, giving the material a unique look as it ages. It also withstands the elements very well too. I also love the attention to details LLB put into the design of the shoe, through the rugged sole and the clean lines used to give the shoe a classic but modern look. Thanks L.L. Bean!!

I live in Tucson so these are ideal. They are very comfortable. These are the first shoes I’ve bought in 20 years that I didn’t have to buy my own expensive inserts. And they keep all the sand out of my socks.

I have been an llbean customer for years, but have never tried their footware. These were on sale after Christmas and I decided to give them a try. I am glad I did because these are the most comfortable boots I own. I have a long second toe and wide feet and these boots give my toes and feet ample room without being too big. I wear a 12.5 to 13 and ordered these in 13. They are super comfortable and very well made. I wish the other colors were in stock because I'd order others. I hope they bring these back for next season.

Really pleased with these boots – was a little nervous buying them sight unseen from LLBean.com, but these were a fantastic purchase. Thick sole that (unlike my Katahdin work boots), grips well on snow and ice. Thick leather with an inner layer makes them comfortable and unlike a lot of other Chukkas out there, thick enough to hold up to abuse, don't cut into your ankles and wear comfortably in the winter!

Excellent material and comfort. The negative is the shoe around the heel collapses when trying to get the foot into the shoe. I have to use a shoe horn to keep the heel stiff enough.

Nice looking shoes, classic look of the 1960’s and ’70’s. Great with khakis and jeans. Shoe looks well constructed. I’m between a men’s 11Med and 11.5 Med widths. 11M Fit fine, even allowed me to place an orthotic into the shoe for added plantar support and not feel cramped.
