They are a stiff shoe, but for walking in snow they provide great ankle stability.
I was able to take out the insole and put in my own arch support.Today I was out in 10 degrees F., and managed to stay out there for at least forty minutes while moving constantly. This is my second pair over a ten year period and they have proven to be great for a person with knee surgery and flat feet.BUT, they are not very attractive-so if you can overcome that part they are great.

These are for heavy wide feet; not mine. Well made. Good materials. Great heavy grippy sole. Sport shoe style will be good for the right feet.

These shoes have a lot of style but they run very small and narrow. Disappointed but have to send back.

I am very happy to see that LLBean has put the Arctic Grip Vibrum soles on their snow sneakers.
I have Arctic Grip soles on some leather LLBean shoes and those soles have great traction on ice.
The snow sneakers I own are warm and waterproof but have an old style sole.
My pair is from a few years ago, and they are “slippery as whale s–t.”
I gave up wearing them in winter on snow a long time ago, but yesterday I wore them on a drizzly day for my walk. I stepped off a paved path onto wet grass and almost immediately lost my footing. I do not fall often, thank heavens, and at my age I do not want to!
It seems my wonderfully waterproof, well insulated snow sneakers have lost another job.
Perhaps they can work inside the house as slippers….they seem very willing to slip. : )
Buy the new ones with Arctic Grip….and avoid any ‘bargains’ on the old style. I love my Arctic Grip leather mocs.

These shoes are extremely stiff around the ankle. It hurt just to walk around the house in them. If it weren’t for the stiffness in the ankle, they probably would have been a great shoe.

Great, feels like pillows on your feet ultra lightweight and durable, Never going to buy another brand again

These are great for walking on snowy roads and icy walkways. They are waterproof and keep my feet dry and warm. With gaiters, I can even snowshoe with them. I will put a lot of miles on these!

I wanted these to work but after wearing them several times, they still hadn’t “broken in” and the top of the shoes were digging into my ankles, and it caused them to bleed and scab every time I wore them.
